YUMA, Ariz. - Federal agents working at the San Luis border station near Yuma seized nearly 400 pounds of cocaine worth nearly $4 million. The Border Patrol says the cocaine was found hidden in a tractor-trailer Saturday afternoon during a routine inspection.
A 37-year-old Mexican man from San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico, was attempting to enter the U.S. through a truck lane.
The Yuma Sun reports that during a secondary inspection, Border Patrol officers used an X-ray scan and later a drug detecting dog alerted agents, which led to the discovery of 154 packages of cocaine.
The rig's owner was arrested along with the truck driver.
